Some earlier DSP-3 Digital Signal Processors use a null modem connection while later model DSP-3s use RS-232 connectivity.
Either the null modem or RS-232 cable is used between the DSP-3 and a control computer for setting up Signal Manager processor functions and programming configuration files.
